Products Liability

Overview

Regardless of the consumer’s negligence, a company may be liable for defective products. Our attorneys have handled cases involving home-use products, ice machines, agricultural products, fans, industrial equipment, hydraulic equipment, and personal care products sold by some of the most well-known companies in their respective trades.  We also have attorneys experienced in defending toxic torts in multidistrict litigation venues. While this list is not all encompassing, it showcases a broad range of experience in defending serious products liability matters.

We understand that, oftentimes, the reach of these issues goes beyond one claim and that discovery of a design or marketing defect can cause a significant financial impact and large-scale production issues.  We are also sensitive to publicity issues and, when possible, will assist with confidential agreements to resolve claims in a way that allows the company to make the necessary modifications without negative press.

As these cases are usually expert intensive, our firm will effectively organize the best defense utilizing the most knowledgeable and qualified experts in their respective fields.  Early expert involvement can ultimately provide the best protection of the rights of the manufacturer, distributor or seller by identifying claimants misuse, alteration, or assumption of risks associated
