PRACTICE OVERVIEW

Jennifer’s practice is focused on representing and counseling insurance companies, insurance adjusters, and third-party administrators in the areas of insurance coverage and insurance-related litigation. Much of Jennifer’s legal practice involves research and writing, which are skills she excels at and developed a passion for while clerking for two years as a briefing attorney for the now retired Honorable Justice Robert McCoy of the Second Court of Appeal in Fort Worth. Specializing in the interpretation, construction and application of all lines of insurance policies, Jennifer provides valuable and practical advice and representation to her clients on matters involving the handling of first- and third-party insurance claims, multi-carrier disputes, inbound and outbound risk transfer, priority of coverage, and complex coverage analyses.

Jennifer handles a wide variety of third-party insurance coverage issues involving claims arising from professional liability construction defects, product defects, premises liability, personal injury, commercial trucking, Dram Shop and liquor liability, copyright infringement, trade dress infringement, trademark infringement, and trade secret infringement. She is also knowledgeable in first-party insurance matters involving commercial and residential property, business interruption, uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage, and personal injury protection coverage.

Jennifer’s clients rely on her to provide guidance and legal advice to avoid bad faith litigation, and to investigate, evaluate, and resolve insurance claims prior to and while in litigation. Jennifer has obtained numerous favorable results for her clients at mediation and in insurance coverage lawsuits and appeals in both state and federal courts. She understands that the key to successfully representing her clients is communication and a proactive approach.
