Practice Overview

Uri A. Heller is Director of Litigation for his unit’s Texas docket at Cox PLLC. A trial attorney whose background in theater and psychology shapes how he reads a courtroom, a witness, and a jury, he has built his record trying automobile and trucking injury cases, with particular strength in those that turn on causation. His motion practice narrows and pressures a case long before trial, and he prepares every case to be tried, not settled. Across Texas, including the notoriously plaintiff-friendly Rio Grande Valley, and often before anti-defense benches, he has never tried one to anything but a defense-positive outcome. He does not argue a jury toward a verdict. He builds the case so clearly that they can stress test it themselves and reach the conclusion the evidence compels. Outside the practice, he channels the same instincts into photography, cooking, and a genuine love of argument for its own sake.
