Practice Overview
Lauren Lopez focuses her practice on civil defense litigation. She has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants – from pre-suit negotiations through trial, and everything in between. She has successfully negotiated settlements for both plaintiffs and defendants, and understands managing expectations. She has also represented clients in arbitration proceedings.
Having represented companies in coverage, premises liability, commercial transportation, and products liability matters, she understands that diligence is key in the preparation of defense. Lauren loves to problem-solve, and is highly organized and tenacious, when it comes to appearing for inspections, mediations, depositions, and hearings.
Prior to law school, Lauren worked in sports radio and television, having considered a career in journalism. While in law school, she interned at the Dallas District Attorney’s Office and the EEOC, gaining valuable experience in criminal prosecution and employment law. Prior to practicing civil litigation, Lauren helped law students across the country pass their respective bar exams as a Director of Legal Education with BARBRI.
Lauren is actively involved in community volunteering – as a PTA board member, and volunteer for the Greek church’s youth dance group. She spends her free time traveling and cheering on the Longhorns with her husband, Pedro, and 2 children – Graci and Bradley.
“We take on only the cases we must win, because it’s the right thing to do even if it’s difficult.”
